The purpose of Escape Room Liability Waivers
What are Liability Waivers?
Liability waivers, also known as "release of liability," are legal documents that participants sign before partaking in an activity that might pose a risk. These waivers are designed to protect businesses, like escape rooms, from potential legal claims in the event of an incident.
Why Do Escape Rooms Need Liability Waivers?
In an escape room, you'll find yourself in a controlled environment where you'll solve puzzles, decipher codes, and uncover clues. While these rooms are designed with safety in mind, the potential for minor incidents, like a trip or fall, does exist. This is where liability waivers come in.
Having participants sign a waiver helps safeguard the escape room business against legal liability if an accident occurs. It's essentially a way of ensuring participants understand they are assuming the risks involved in the activity.
Next-Gen Escape and Liability Waivers
At Next-Gen Escape, we prioritize your safety and enjoyment above all else. As part of our standard procedure, we require all participants to sign a waiver before they engage in any of our escape rooms.
Those under the age of 18 must have their waiver filled out by a parent, guardian, or caretaker. This is a common practice in the industry, ensuring minors are covered under the same protection.
Ease of Process
To simplify the process Next-Gen sends out waivers as soon as your booking is made. These waivers can be filled out in advance, saving you time on the day of your adventure.
When you make a booking with us, you'll receive a confirmation email that contains a link to the waiver. We recommend forwarding this link to all members of your party so they can complete their waivers ahead of time.
Liability waivers are an integral part of the escape room experience, ensuring the safety and peace of mind of both the participants and the business. While it may seem like a formality, it's necessary to keep the fun and enjoyment of escape rooms uncompromised while staying safe.
